A gentleman wrote to me to tell me about the encounter he had with "Gina" from New Jersey. He says that he is not even sure that her real name is Gina but tells me that she is 29. He met her in Yahoo chat and has yet to see the real person.
Gina convinced him to send her $200 for a plane ticket to come and visit him. She told him to send her the $ instead of buying the ticket since she claimed to have a friend that could get the airfare cheaper. Needless to say, he is out the $200 and hasn't heard from the lady again.
I am hoping that our friend has learned a lesson from this one.
