So now, I don't believe anything said to me online or on the phone. To be honest been hurt just as bad in person by a couple of men, who I should have been able to trust, as they had promised to love, honor and standby through thick and thin, good times and times not so good,
sickness and in health.
Sadly too many people today don't value the truth. Don't care about honor and as long as they aren't the one getting screwed over. These people take the attitude "well they shouldn't have been such chumps, or it doesn't really count cause we never met in person any ways. I truly wish that I could say that I'm stronger and a better person because of the pain and disappointment.
Reality is I'm just more jaded and guarded and like so many other people have a running list of "Jerks to keep an eye on"
Being naive and trusting in the cyber world won't get you love, honor or respect. Any better than in the so called real world, and can be just as dangerous and dose hurt just as bad! The pretense of no identity in Cyber world give so many people the excuse to lie about their marriage status, what their education background is, what their jobs are, how old they are, what their sex is, about the strength of their religious life is, what they really look like and anything ells they can think of. How anybody can think that they can make a real connection online, that they can trust enough to believe that they can have real feeling for another person that they meet online is beyond me any more!
And yet the need to reach out to other people is so strong and our world is so disconnected, that everyday more and more people signup for dating sites. All of which is sad and scary all at the same time! Written as lived and felt by Jean AKA Spiritwolf
